Over the years the Zune Team has impressed me. When one of their devices has a short comings, they are straight forward. When a feature doesn’t go over well they aren’t afraid to can it. So when Microsoft updates Zune.net and breaks most of he features I use regularly, and then stays quiet on it for nearly a month, you can imagine how one may be a little, peeved.
The’ve done an exceptional job of integrating Zune.net’s new MP3 store into Bing. It is a solid move, that deserves our applause. What doesn't deserve our applause is this giant "no comment" we're getting about all the random issues that the update has created. Zune.net hasn't played a song for me correctly since shortly after the update. Even just a few weeks ago, I noticed my play counts stopped updating. Since nearly all of the Zune sites failed to comment on it, at first I believed this wasn't widespread, that some how I was the only one being effected.
But according to the poll we ran on the front page, i'm not wrong. Nearly 92% of the people who submitted answers reported that the online services were still not working correctly. I'm not just talking about small things like play counts, or disappearing Zune cards from the forums, but even things like having the ability to even play a song using my Zune pass online.
