Zune HD documents leaked to Gizmodo

According to Gizmodo, Zune HD will be available September 8 in 16 and 32 gigabyte sizes. We'll have more on this and our mid-week roundup later this afternoon.

Zune.net Will Go Down Tonight

Okay guys this just in from ZuneInsider.com:
On Tuesday, June 16th from 12:01 AM PST for up to 24 hours, the Zune service will be offline for maintenance. As a result, the Zune Social, the forums on Zune.net, and all of Zune Marketplace will be offline.
The post goes on to note that these are in preparation for things coming to XBOX Live and are in NO WAY related to any new features they may or may not be appearing soon. You still wan't to stay awake tonight and speculate on new features? Fine, but don't see your friends at ZuneSpring didn't warn you it might be a waste of time. (Don't worry i'll be up too, just in case.)
Update: June 17 @ 8:00am It looks like verything is back up and although the Social seems to be faster there seems to be no other differences, just as we were told.

Zune.net is Down (Back Online)

If you were planning on getting your social networking fix over at the Zune Social i've got unfortunate news, it's closed. However don't fret it doesn't look like the updates will effect the Zune Marketplace or Zune Services (I should know i'm listening to Gloria Estefan as I write this). Anywho we'll let you know when we're back underway.

You'll be able to follow your favorite artists using a 'follow the artist' feature
You (yes, you!) will be able to add links to an artist page (rss feed aggregation)
Artist information, such as concert dates and music video previews, will be available at zune.net
Get more information on your Social homepage (additional recommendations, "listening now")
And some performance improvements.

Zune HD to have Unicharacter Support

According to the official ZuneInsider podcast, the Zune HD will be able to display uniform characters. Even you haven't realized it yet all versions of the Zune firmware display boxes instead of these characters because of the player's firmware inability to render them. Ah more to add to the ZuneHD Coverage Center!.
